Women and Children's Emergency Shelter
In October of 2008, our women and children's emergency shelter was launched. The spacious eight bedroom home was purchased from Youth Enrichment Services, a local non-profit which was dissolving. We are so fortunate to have this home graciously remodeled and furnished by generous business teams and community service groups who stepped up to sponsor a room(s) and assist in bringing this community need to fruition.
In 2009, this emergency shelter provided lodging, food, comfort and support to 74 women and 101 children.
