Female's Emergency Shelter
The Female Emergency Shelter houses single females and females with children. It contains 8 bedrooms and can house up to 30 residents. Females with children are allowed to stay up to 90 days, while single females are allowed to stay up to 30 days. Residents are expected to work towards gaining employment and/or income, and accessing permanent housing. Supportive service staff are available to assist the residents in these goals and include a Case Manager, House Manager and Addiction/Mental Health Counselor. In addition to working on employment and housing, residents must abide by rules and regulations including but not limited to: being in by curfew, performing daily chores, receiving nightly breathalyzers as well as random urine analysis', etc. Residents are charged $9.00 a day for program fees while staying in the Female Emergency Shelter and can do work exchange to reduce their daily fee by up to 50%.
