LSND was formed in 2004 when North Dakota Legal Services merged with Legal Assistance of North Dakota. It is a non-profit organization which provides legal help to disadvantaged elderly or low-income North Dakotans. LSND accepts cases in the areas of Public Benefits, Family & Children, Health, Consumer, Housing, Elderly Law, Taxes, Immigration, Civil Rights and Indian Law.
